Somewhere on the globe there lies the perfect host city for the Online News Association’s 2011 Conference and Online Journalism Awards Banquet — and we’d like you to help us find it.
This is a two-step process:
If you think your city would make an ideal destination for ONA11, let us know by sending an outline including potential venues, hotels and attractions to ONA11@journalists.org. We’ll review and, if your city strikes a chord, send you a formal Request For Proposal.
Deadline for the formal RFP is 5 p.m. ET, Monday, Dec. 7, so please plan accordingly when submitting your initial outline. And don't worry, submitting a formal RFP doesn't commit you to planning the conference.
Our annual conference is growing by leaps and bounds, but we’d like to keep our costs as low as possible for attendees, so initial outlines should be carefully crafted. (Translation: Please, serious and thoughtful inquiries only.)
